Dogwood Thyatirid

6240 - Euthyatira pudens - Dogwood Thyatirid (2)

Dogwood Thyatirid
Euthyatira pudens
Hodges #6240
Wooded areas with Flowering Dogwood (hostplant).
Early to mid-spring.
There are two colour morphs of this moth, of which this is by far the most common. The other lacks the pinky-white patches. This moth is resting with its wings slightly spread, which they sometimes do; they may also rest with their wings tucked closer to their body so you can’t see their hindwings at all.
