  1. Are those pollenia stuck to its feet?

    • I think they’re eggs, actually, Ellen. Occasionally if you catch a gravid female (but don’t realize you have a gravid female) and put her in a jar overnight she’ll lay some of her eggs in the jar. Then when you dump her out on the leaf/substrate for a photo in the morning some of the eggs end up in the photo. Doesn’t happen often, though, and I was quite surprised the first time I noticed it. They do kinda look like pollenia in this photo, though, eh?
