    they’re such a striking moth.. love the furry caterpillars too (frass and all) 🙂

    • The cat photo was from last fall. I’d found a section of trail, perhaps four or five yards, with all these caterpillars stuffed in it, couldn’t resist collecting them up and taking a photo.

  2. I’ve never seen one of these, but we should have them. Maybe this year.

    • They were very abundant at our house here in eastern Ontario, Marvin, but I don’t recall getting any at my parents’ old house in south-central Ontario. Could be that they’re regionally patchy in your area, too.
