Flies late spring through summer in north; mid-spring to fall in south.
This one looks like a dead leaf. How incredible that they have built in defenses like that, assuming that it is on purpose.
You can just imagine how well they’d blend in on the side of a branch or tree trunk, eh? The Schizura moths usually hold their butt up at a 35-ish degree angle, too, making them look like a bit of peeling bark or something.
