He’s certainly a beauty! I like how from behind, it looks like a scary face.
The sphinxes are a lovely group, KaHolly – one of the best studied group of moths because their larger size and (often) bright colours make them appeal to collectors more than the drabber, smaller guys. I have to admit, I’m always pleased to discover one in my trap in the morning.
